Hewewi – Hewewi

We came to gluten free baking through our own personal experience with dietary intolerances, and realised that there was a lack of knowledge or available options in our little part of the world. Suddenly becoming intolerant to gluten is inconvenient for a chef, but having the skillsets to work around became the silver lining. We started a 100% gluten free bakery, and put many smiles on many faces.

Our approach to life is that challenges don’t define us. What defines us is our response to those challenges. We created Hewewi to laugh in the face of all the ‘missing out’ that comes with avoiding gluten. If you have found us, it is probably because you, or someone you know is avoiding gluten, and finds it tough to get hold of credible, and delicious gluten free foods.

We are working to bring gluten free products to more locations by partnering with some of your favourite businesses; making it easier than ever to find and provide gluten-free grub. In The Year of Our Lord 2023, it’s just a little odd that we are still largely ignored, so we are taking a stab at fixing that. Oh look, everyone’s happy.
